JOB TITLE: Senior Accountant

DEPARTMENT: Administration

REPORTS TO: Chief Financial Officer

SUMMARY: Computes and prepares data for journal entries, general ledger, and related financial statements; performs day-to-day general accounting functions



DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reviews and analyzes the organization's accounting operation; establishes, develops, and/or recommends economic objectives and policies to CFO
Performs accounts payable functions
Prepares financial reports for senior management and other internal and external parties
Manages monthly accounting close cycle and prepares month-end financial statements
Prepares Lux tax/retail sales tax reporting
Reviews and analyzes financial information detailing assets, liabilities, and capital
Reviews intercompany billings and allocations, prepares and posts journal entries, oversees bank reconciliations and maintains supporting documentation in an organized manner
Coordinates and ensures timely and complete response for compliance and tax audits
Responsible for maintaining accurate books and records
Develops, implements, and monitors systems for general accounting



QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent work experience.
Three to five years related experience
Demonstrated ability to provide financial and accounting insights and influence management on policy or operational changes
Proficient with MS Office including excel spreadsheets
Acute attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow
