Job Description:
POSITION SUMMARY:-- The Manager, Fixed Assets is the business
owner for the Fixed Asset and Leasing modules within the financial
system. This role is responsible for managing a team of
professionals that are responsible for the fixed asset and lease
accounting process for the entire organization as well as the
performance of the sub ledgers to ensure compliance with general
accounting procedures and company policy.--PRINCIPAL
RESPONSIBILITIES:--
- Manages the maintenance of the Fixed Asset and Leasing modules,
ensuring compliance with US GAAP and key SOX controls.
- Analyzes and monitors the integration of data to and from the
financial system and other integrated systems, ensuring the
accurate compilation, analysis, and reporting of accounting data,
both internally and externally.
- Manages the month-end close process for fixed assets and other
related activities owned by the team to ensure they are reported in
a timely and accurate manner.
- Uses accounting concepts, wide-ranging experience, analytical
skills, and knowledge of industry to resolve issues in effective
ways and ensure that appropriate judgment is applied in determining
what is considered a capital versus an operating expense.
- Assigns and ensures the complete and accurate preparation of
complex data analysis and account reconciliations.
- Completes additional complex reviews of Construction in
Progress activities to ensure project spend is appropriately broken
down between capital and non-capital for proper/timely tax
treatment.
- Reviews and substantiates new Asset Classes as a result of
acquisitions.
- Manages large stock acquisition processes including but not
limited to asset/lease revaluations and complex tax
treatments.
- Oversees key controls associated with lease accounting,
responding to internal lease data requests, and ensures compliance
with company policy.
- Assists with the documentation and updating of the Company's
lease process and workflow to comply with current accounting
standards.
- Participates in quarterly and annual audits as well as special
projects.
- Coaches, manages, and evaluates personnel to ensure efficient
system operations and accurate financial data reporting.
- Oversees and coordinates the development of test scripts and
the performance of user acceptance testing for the Fixed Asset and
Lease Management applications.
- Provides financial systems support to all field and corporate
users.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned or
apparent.KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES:
- Understanding of financial statements and familiarity with
accounting systems.
- Process oriented with strong attention to detail and
organization.
- Ability to work in high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple activities or sources of
information.
- Ability to conduct root cause analysis and performance tuning
for complex business processes and functionality.
- Ability to identify information needed to clarify a situation,
gather data from the appropriate source and skillfully pose
questions to discover critical information.

efficiently within a team environment.
- Proven ability to influence without direct authority and lead
team members by building trust, credibility, and consensus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective interpersonal communication across various levels of
the organization.
- Highly proficient Microsoft Excel skills, including development
and use of financial models, pivot tables, graphs, macros, and
complex formulas.QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP.
- Experience with Lease accounting software such as Tango or
Lease Query.
- Experience with standard Query Language (SQL), including
writing SQL queries.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:--
- Minimum of 6 years of fixed asset accounting, financial
analysis, or accounting experience.
- Experience managing a team of professionals in a complex
accounting environment.
