  • A large hospital in Arizona is looking for experienced nurses to work a travel assignment on their Neuro Telemetry unit.
  • The right candidate will have 2 years of experience and hold an active BLS, ACLS, and AZ license or compact.

    • 2 years of experience

    • AZ license or compact
    • Neuro experience highly preferred
    • Must be able to Titrate drips, Amio, Cardizem, and Insulin Drips
    • Must be able to interpret EKG
    • Candidate is required to pass DYS exam PRIOR to accepting
    • All RNs will be expected to complete SIMs Lab for Foley catheter insertion & central line dressing changes
    • Floor specific orientation: 2 days on the floor
      • Schedule Information
      • Shifts: 7 to 7
      • Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts in 8 weeks
      • Holidays: Worked into perm holiday rotation
      • 12 hour nights, 4 total weekend shifts per 4 weeks, 2 out of 3 major holidays

        • Unit: Neuro Tele (5NNB and 7NNB)
        • Number of beds: 32
        • Patient Ratios: 1:4 ratio
        • EMR: Cerner. WOWs
        • Charge Nurse: Yes, takes light patient assignment
        • Nurse Aides: Days - 4, Nights - 3
        • Scrub Color: Steel gray
        • Vents: No
        • Hospitalist or Intensivist in house: No
        • IV Team: SWAT RN available for difficult IV sticks
        • RT 24/7: Yes
        • Pharmacy 24/7: Yes, central
        • Floating: Float to tele units, tele overflow in ICU
        • Common diagnosis / Types of patients: Trached patients, CVA, TBI, Spinal surgery, encephopathy, ESRD, psych issues, brain tumor
        • LOS average: 4-5 days
        • Fast paced, high turn around unit

          • Medical Solutions Pre-Screens, if clinical recommends, AUTO OFFER
          • LEVEL I TRAUMA EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
          • SIMs lab is pass/fail & nurses have been termed during SIMs Lab for breaking sterile field
          • If a candidate indicates that they are not competent in Foley catheter insertion & central line dressing changes, they are probably not a good fit
