  • A large hospital in Arizona is looking for experienced CVICU/Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit RNs for a travel assignment. The right candidate will have 2 years of CVICU/Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit experience.

    • The right candidate will have 2 years of CVICU/Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit experience.
    • MUST HAVE LEVEL I TRAUMA EXPERIENCE
    • Traveler must pass DYS exam PRIOR to accepting.
    • All RNs will be expected to complete SIMs Lab for Foley catheter insertion & central line dressing changes, with exceptions for specific units.
    • Must demonstrate competency in maintaining sterile field, as these are nursing skills that are performed frequently.
    • Prophecy Dysrhythmia Exam required 24-48hrs prior to acceptance of a position.
      • Schedule Information
      • Contract length is 13 weeks.
      • Weekend Requirement: 3 weekend shifts in 4 week schedule.
      • Shifts are 7-7.
      • Float to other ICUs and all Tele units. Travelers will float 1st before perm staff.
        • Unit Specific Information
        • - Ratios: 1:1-2. High number of 1:1.
        • - Floor specific orientation: 2 days on the floor.
        • - Common diagnosis / Types of patients: Cardiac surgery recovery, Empallas, IABP, CRRT, lung transplant, thoracic, Ecmo, esophogectomy, lobectomy, pneumectomy, TAVR.
          • Additional Details
          • Unit: CTICU/CVICU
          • - # beds: 24
          • - EMR: Cerner
          • - High acuity, travelers with IABP and CABG experience can take patients.
