  • Hospital in AZ in need of RNs to float between PCU, Tele, and Med Surg.
  • Must have 2 years experience in med/tele and 1 year PCU.
    • Job Requirements
    • Current state license
    • ACLS certification
    • BLS certification
    • At least 1 year in PCU setting
      • Schedule Information
      • 7-7 for AM and PM shifts.
      • Schedule is published 6 weeks out for 4 weeks at a time.
      • Travelers will need to be flexible.
      • Weekend Requirements: Every Other
      • Holiday Requirements: Will include travelers in perm staff rotation.
        • Unit Specific Information
        • Unit/Department specific orientation: 8 hour day of general hospital orientation, 12 hour shift at West MedTele and 12 hour shift at PCU at West.
          • Additional Details
          • Unit/Department: Float Pool
          • Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Geriatric patients, ortho patients, post MI, post Cardiac Cath, CABG post-op day 3-4.
          • Nurse:Patient Ratios: PCU 1:4, MedSurg Tele 1:5-6.
          • Are RNs required to titrate drips?: Yes
          • Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Insulin.
          • Charge Nurse/House Supervisor: Each unit will have a charge nurse, will not take assignments.
          • RT Equipment: CPAP or Bipap at night in MedSurg, BiPAP, CPAP and Heated High flow in PCU.
          • Is there tele on this unit? Monitor Techs? RNs read strips?: Yes, nurses must be able to interpret strips.
