As our company name implies, we have primarily been developing
embedded software, but more and more we are also getting heavily
into hardware. This position will be the primary Electrical
Engineer for our company and will lead the appropriate electrical
development activities within our company and for our customer
projects.
The selected candidate will operate in a small yet diverse team
environment that supports products through all phases of the life
cycle. This includes conceptual development, detailed design,
qualification, as well as manufacturing transition and production
support. The engineer will be responsible for developing and
producing robust hardware solutions to meet demanding customer
requirements. They will leverage their electrical engineering
experience to perform tasks including circuit and CCA design and
analysis, technical trade studies, analog/digital/mixed signal
interface design, reverse engineering of legacy designs, component
selection, evaluation of technology insertion/upgrades, as well as
laboratory test and troubleshooting. Salary range is
$90,000-$130,000 depending on experience.
Senior Electrical Engineer

laboratory test and troubleshooting. Required Education,
Experience, & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer
Engineering and 6+ years' experience
- Demonstrated experience in product development and support of
electronic equipment
- Solid fundamentals of digital/analog/mixed signal electronics,
components, and interface/communication standards
- Experience in the design, test, troubleshooting, and manufacture
of multi-layer electronic circuit card assemblies including
oversight of PCB layout
- Strong "hands-on" laboratory experience with instrumentation,
equipment, and processes
- Experience with state-of-the-art electrical engineering
development tools
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Motivated self-starter and problem solver with proven experience
executing in diverse multi-disciplinary teams
- Strong computer skills in basic MS office and technical
programs
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Design of digital hardware that leverages embedded processors,
microcontrollers, and FPGAs that provide capability and
functionality to a larger system
- Experience with DFx (design for assembly, test, manufacturing,
etc.) concepts
- Experience with design & development of motors, encoders,
controllers, diode drivers, airborne power systems
- Understanding of HW development processes and practices
- Experience working with SW teams to define requirements
- Experience working with mechanical engineers on electronics
packaging
- Current "hands-on" experience with Cadence, Altium, or Mentor
Graphics EDA tools
- Life cycle engineering support related to component obsolescence
and material shortages
