In each of our regions, we are the best in radiology, offering all radiology services!Job SummaryThe Ultrasound Tech will perform breast exams in a timely and complete manner.Our ideal teammate:Is a self-directed learner who is willing to apply direct feedback and continuously and humbly self-assess in order to grow personally and professionally.Will work under general guidance with some expectation of autonomy.Has excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong attention to detail.Has the ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.Acts with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.Essential Functions of an Ultrasound TechnologistPerforming general ultrasound exams, including breast exams in a timely and complete mannerCorrelation of clinical history to the test that is being performedPrepare the exam room and ultrasound equipment to conduct examinations.Assist radiologists as needed with ultrasound-guided biopsies and vascular ultrasound procedures.Recognize and record the appropriate anatomy and pathology using sonographic equipment.Properly care for sonography equipment and report equipment failure.Write reports based upon the scan results and completion.Alert appropriate medical staff of any abnormalities that need immediate attention.Use the ability to solve problems and make decisions.Work independently or with minimal supervision and as part of a team.Manage multiple priorities and projects, and display flexibility in a fast-paced work environment.Display good work ethic and friendly and cheerful disposition.Maintain the strictest levels of confidentiality.Pursue professional development for the continual improvement of patient care.May carry out additional responsibilities and special projects.Required Education and ExperienceMust have Breast US experienceMinimum of 2 year experience in breast examsHigh School degree or equivalent2+ years experience as a SonographerAccreditation by ARDMS or ARRT(S)Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkPart-TimeOther Duties Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
