At Valleywise Health, we're on a mission to create a healthier, happier Valley for all, and we're always looking for talented, passionate people to join our team.Under the direction of the Anatomic Pathology Supervisor, the Cytotechnologist provides clinical support and diagnostic direction to physicians and other healthcare workers by performing average to complex cytological testing on neonate to geriatric patients. The Cytotech is a full-time, full-benefit position. The Cytologist will work in a new Lab in a Level One Trauma Medical Center.This position is eligible for relocation assistance. Terms and conditions apply.Hourly Pay Rate: $32.84 - $48.44QualificationsEducation:Requires a bachelor's degree in Cytotechnology or in a related science field, with a Cytotechnology Certification from a 12-month AMA accredited Cytotechnology program.Experience:Prior experience performing cytological specimens is preferred.Certification/Licensure:Requires certification by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP).Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Must possess good interpersonal and communication skills both verbally and in writing including knowledge of basic grammar, spelling, and punctuation.Requires the ability to read, write and speak effectively in English.Requires excellent time management skills and customer service skills.Must possess basic computer skills in a Windows environment.Analytical skills are strongly preferred.
